Lows Lookout in Coolum is a real hidden gem and the perfect stop when driving up or down the Sunshine Coast. Situated on top of a hill, this hidden lookout is frequented by locals who want to take in the morning sunrise or relax for a chat with friends.
A smaller more private cove with great surf and a small sandy beach will give you remote island vibes. With plenty of rockpools to explore and creatures to see there is a lot to take in. Watch out for turtles popping their heads up for a breath while feeding near the rocks. This is an unpatrolled beach.
Mount Coolum's impressive dome-shape rises 208m above the Sunshine Coast lowlands and provides spectacular 360 degree views of the coast and hinterland. The summit supports montane heath—a plant community, with rare and threatened species, that only grows at two locations on the Sunshine Coast. From the mountain, the park extends south and west across flat lowlands protecting wallum, paperbark wetlands, open eucalypt forest and rainforest remnants—plant communities that have largely disappeared from this part of the Sunshine Coast.
Oz Ski Resort is the Sunshine Coast's only man made fresh water ski facility. We offer beginner to advanced water skiing and wake boarding lessons, banana boat rides, knee boarding, and tubing. Lessons include boat, driver, coach, free use of the latest equipment and your own personal water time. Only 5 minutes from Coolum Beach.
